Subject: Hatred of Squirrels
I have hated squirrels since I was 9 years old!!! Every time I went out to play or ride my bike, I heard those damn things chittering and chattering in the trees.
If you lived in northern Minnesota, you would hate squirrels with a passion like I do. This past year, I recently completed firearms safety. That inclined me to get good at shooting so that I could hit those furry little rats on the run!!! I couldn’t find any shells for my Remington bolt action .22 because I had used most of them up. That’s when I started to really hate the little devils because when they came around, I couldn’t kill them!!! One day, I got so mad because of a squirrel chasing all of the birds away in the feeders that I couldn’t stand it any more!!! I got my bow and arrow and crept out on the porch. I pulled back on the string and let ‘er rip! The arrow was true to it’s mark and hit the squirrel right square in the butt!!! It fell on the ground and started to crawl toward the woods.
I ran back into the house, checked the last possible spot for any ammo and guess what? There were three shells left!!! I quickly loaded my rifle and stormed out on the porch. I couldn’t see the little rat anywhere. That’s when I saw something shiny in the tall grass at the edge of the yard. It was the arrow! It was moving a little bit so I grabbed the end of the arrow and pulled it out. The squirrel was still on the end of the arrow and blood was everywhere.
I was just about to throw the arrow with the squirrel still on the end of it on an open patch of grass so I could shoot the little thing. That’s when I realized that squirrels aren’t as harmless as they look. The damn thing flew like lightning up the arrow and started to claw, scratch, and bite my hand. I dropped the gun and started to say every bad word I had ever heard in my life. My mom, who was on the porch , started to yell “Grab the damn thing and throw it on the ground.” That’s what I did. I grabbed the little furball and threw him on the ground. I picked up the gun and shot him three times in the head. He was dead!!!!!
Ever since that day, I have hated squirrels. I have no feeling in two of my fingers and will kill every squirrel I get the chance to. I am currently working on an anti-squirrel web page and I will make sure I have a link to your page. Thanx for your time.

Tim, you gotta be careful with those tree rats, as they can be real nasty and territorial. I had one grey that used to come down my tree, go into my spring tulip garden, and bite off the blooms one by one and just left them on the ground…pure vandalism. One morning I saw him do it and I went out there to chase him out. That little bastard circled around me and took a chunk out of my ankle. I wasn’t able to grab it and it got away. I called it “shorty because half his tail was missing. Because we couldn’t locate it. I had to go through the rabies shots as a precaution…painfull. The war was on…I set the Hav-a-heart trap and one by one I was catching sqirrels, but not “Shorty”. I caught 6 over the next few weeks, and relocated them far away. One morning the trap was sprung…and there sat the little scumbag with his short tail snarlin’ at me! Ahh…revenge would be mine. I popped him in the head with my Beeman pellet pistol, dumped his carcass out on the floor, and spent the next 20 minutes trampling him flat as a pancake in my bare feet. That really made my ankle feel a lot better. I dug a shallow hole in my garden and trampled what was left of him into the ground, and buried it. That fall I planted the tulip bulbs right on that spot, and that spring I had the nicest tulips in years. He made great fertilizer too!
