Squirrels gone wild in Florida

A squirrel recently went on a seven-day spree in Winter Park, Fla., in which the animal went after a 3-year-old boy, among many others.

The squirrel was eventually captured, destroyed and before it could do more damage. This confirmed what we have known for years: Squirrels are dangerous animals.

One of the incidents saw the squirrel latch on to a leg of  a person and leave a 2-inch gash. Read more about this.

Squirrel causes large power outage

Nearly 6,000 area homes and unknown number of businesses were left without power earlier this week when a small critter caused a circuit malfunction, which in turn created two more breaker problems at the power company’s resort substation.

A small squirrel created some big problems for Delaware and resort residents on Monday in the early morning hours when the animal climbed an electric pole on 142nd Street and blocked a circuit. read more
